The imposing 45-foot statue of the first Jain Tirthankara, Rishabhnath, popularly known as Lord Adinatha, is the most striking feature of Khandagiri. As with most other mosques in north India, Jama masjid comprises an open courtyard with dalans or pillared cloisters on the north and south, and the western end occupied by the prayer hall.
